Capturing the feeling of a moment

Claptured

“Claptured” is my online photography alias, combining “Christina” and “captured,” as in capturing a photo. It began as a personal space to share how I see the world and to archive moments of memory and observation.

Frequently asked questions

What camera do you use?

I really don’t think you need an amazing camera to take good photos! That said, I’ve asked this question too (oops) — I usually shoot film on a Minolta X-100 or a Pentax Espio 120mi, use my iPhone 16 for convenience, and a Fujifilm 100V when I go digital. I don’t tend to edit much afterward (I’d rather be designing!), so I like cameras that capture what I want straight away. Funny enough, the biggest upgrade I’ve felt was going from the iPhone 12 to 16: the 20× zoom changed how I shoot. I love getting up close to faraway details and finding compositions that feel almost hidden.

How do I do [setting/result/function] with my camera?

As much as I’d love to help, ChatGPT or Google would be better than me for technical questions! I care more about atmosphere, story, and vibe than on settings or gear. I’m really not a technical photographer, just someone who loves capturing a feeling.
